Seale Pastures House is quite an imposing building, but there’s nothing imposing about the warm welcome we give to all our visitors: quite the opposite. In fact, we’re regularly told how approachable and friendly we are.
We try our very best to make the residents feel that this is their home – a real home from home. Our staff relate to the residents with care, compassion and genuine friendship, whether it’s having a natter, being a shoulder to cry on, or enjoying a bit of good humoured banter.
We like to keep the residents as active as possible, mentally and physically. We have bingo, quizzes, and trips out in our minibus. We have our own hairdressing salon, and the hairdresser comes in two days a week. We had a 50s diner theme event, when people dressed up and listened to 50s music. Various local organisations visit us, including a church group, who recently did a make-over of our garden. We also have a shopping event from time to time, when local businesses come here so that those residents who can’t get out are able to do some shopping.

Akari Care is a family of Residential Care Homes spread across the UK, with the largest concentration of homes in the north-east. We choose the word ‘family’ with good reason, because in many ways it epitomises our values. Each Care Home we view as an extended family, bringing together residents and their families, our colleagues in care, clinicians, hairdressers, commissioners and CQC regulators, members of the local community – the list goes on. In this way, we are able to create a warm and inclusive environment in which our residents can feel a real sense of security and belonging, while at the same time retaining their dignity and self-respect.
We never compromise on the quality of our services, nor would you expect us to. Our extended team includes trusted GPs, Dentists, Chiropodists and Dieticians, who all work hard to improve our residents’ quality of life. Our dementia Care Homes have qualified, dedicated staff who help people to maintain their identity and dignity. With a focus on living life to the fullest, our homes offer activities such as hairdressing salons, bars, cinemas, gardening, and cooking courses to name just a few!
We have a dedicated and caring staff, a homely and friendly atmosphere, and high standards of cleanliness and care.
The central focus of everything we do is the wellbeing of our residents, to ensure that they remain physically and mentally active, are fulfilled and happy, and feel cared for and, loved as part of the Bridge View family.
We’d love to hear from you as we look for people that share our passion for providing the best care for our residents. Why not apply for one of the above jobs or call us for more information about the role.
